Event Sign Up and Payment FAQ

1. How can I sign up for a Tournament?

The only way to signup for Men's Club tournaments is online using the Member Portal. Members attending the General Meeting will be given priority for sign up and tee time selection for Monthly tournaments. All other events are first come, first served. It's quick and easy and requires only your email address and your GHIN#. Alternatively, have another member do it for you.

2. Can someone else sign me up?

Of course. Give your email address and GHIN# to a trusted friend or loved one and let them do it.

Better yet, click on the Preferences button and add up to 12 members that can sign you up for any event. Easy and you will never need to log in ever again.

3. I'm old school and hate to do things "online." How do I enter?

See above.

4. I want to play with my buddies, how do I make this known to the Event Runner?

Under the section "Tee and Group Requests", select the members you want in your group. You don't need to select yourself. While not guaranteed, it is a good chance the Event Runner will group all of your selections together. For best results, (dare I say) talk to your guys before signing up so there's less confusion.

5. I signed up for a Monthly tournament and got an email that says I'm "registered". Am I in?

Short answer...most likely. Monthly event entries are randomly prioritized with Members in attendance at the Monthly Meeting given the top priorities. Entries will open during the Meeting. Even if you cannot attend the Meeting, there is a good chance you will get into the tournament. When the Tournament Chairman sets the Tee Times on the Closing Date, you will receive an email confirmation of your Tee Time and entry into the Event. You will then have until the Payment Due Date to pay either Online, Check or Ca$h. See below for details.

For other events, the priority is first come, first serve so if you can make up your mind, you're in. Your payment is due by the Payment Due Date.

6. How do I pay?

Online using a Credit Card - You can pay Online with your credit card just like you have done on a million other websites. Takes about a minute to do if you have your Credit Card handy. There is a 3% service fee on all credit card transactions.

By Check or With Ca$h - Place your cash in an envelope and label that envelope with your NAME and the EVENT that it is for. Place that envelope in the Men's Club drawer in the Pro Shop before the Payment Due Date.

By Mail - Make check out to the El Dorado Park Men's Golf Club and mail to:

7. I've changed my mind, can I change my Entry?

If you have not already paid, yes. Simply click "Modify Entry", check or uncheck as needed and click "Submit Entry". If you have already paid, sorry, it's too late.

8. I was going to write a Check or pay with Ca$h, but now I want to pay Online, can I change?

You bet! Simply click "Modify Entry", check your Payment method and click "Submit Entry". If you selected Pay Online, click the button and follow the process. And yes, you can change to Check or Ca$h the same way. Just make sure you pay by the Payment Due Date.

9. It turns out I can't play in an Event I signed up for. Can I withdraw?

Of course, this is a fun Club, not Hotel California. Simply log into the Member Portal and click the "Withdraw" button and Boom!, you're out. The Event Runner will get notified immediately via email.

If you have already paid for an Event and want to withdraw, email the Event Runner directly stating such and request a refund. Refunds are subject to the Club's Refund Policy and the Terms and Conditions.

10. I'll be out of town for an Event. Can I prevent my Buddies from signing me up?

Indeed! Select the Event you cannot play and simply check the box "I cannot play in the ...". You will not be included in the Member list for that Event.

If later it turns out you can play after all, merely uncheck the box for that Event. Easy as a 18" putt.
